It's really nice. Looks nice and healthy too Lewis.

Do you have many of these?

How do find growing them?

Nice plant lewis. Looks healthy too. This Genus has always fascinated me. Though I only have one very small specimen and some small seedlings Wink .

KanJe: this is my only flowering size specimen.
they appear to be fairly easy to grow, just slow. sort of like Lophophoras in that aspect. even the flowers are similar to lophs. also they need SHADE. put them in the sun and they will burn to a crisp! aim for a greenish colour, see mine is pretty brown and that is even under 50% shade cloth. they grow in the shade in the wild.

Trig: thanks, the seeds of this you sent me have germinated and are coming along nicely. Smile

Kada: agreed, lovely plants.

HN: graft!

Lachy: i guess approx 5-6 years. i've only had it a year or so. its been grown hard.
This is probably its first ever flower.

I haven't seen many grafts done with this species but I have seen a peri graft with multiple scions that did really well.
I think there might be an image of this plant from the last Melbourne cacti show that's been previously posted.
Here is the link if you cant find it.

I'm not 100% but I would guess that it's multiple offsets from the one scion.

I can get back to you about it if you want.

My Obregonia denegrii f San vincente in flower yesterday.
I sowed seeds on 28/09/05 and grafted several seedlings. The photo is one of grafted plants.
Own-root seedlings are growing slowly. I still have around 30 seedlings sown same time but they are very small.
I have tried to get seeds and crossed many times but I have not got any seeds yet.
