Disappointed to hear that a batch of seeds I sent got crushed. I sent them between a sheet of paper and a thick strip of bubble wrap, with the seeds taped so they wouldn't move.

Must be some sort of thing going on, because the BEST seeds were crushed, and yet I received 200 seeds the same way the week before. I don't get it. Anyone got any idea about the cheapest way (and safest) to send seeds so they don't get crushed.

Going to send him some more seeds, but don't want them eaten by the rollers.
Any advice - fully padded bag is about $4.50, versus 50 cents for a normal stamp.

bubble envelopes are the only way to go with seeds Smile here they charge no more for bubble than regular, its done by weight.

90c for the appropriate sized postpak (for seeds) from newsagents. I usually put my seed packets inside some extra bubble wrap and put in an extra envelope inside the postpak.

Though usually I just have them wrapped either side with one layer of bubblewrap each side in a regular envelope. No one has complained. Only one person did, but that was before the use of bubblewrap or postpak bags.

EDIT: I forgot to add that that stamp or that postpak is $1.00 to anywhere in Australia.

So $1.90 for sending seeds should be the maximum you pay.

Was a bummer for sure and as usual the best lot crushed, 3 of the gymno seeds were crushed also, the melos were all fine Smile. Mind you it is only the second or third lot it has happened to in all the seeds i have been sent.
Lately all i have been doin is putting the seed in a little envelope and placing that between a folded tissue, havent had a problem yet.

Like i said Cal, dont worry bout sending more mate, its just the way she goes.

Yeah,
still its a shame. I'd have thought that a single sheet of bubble wrap would have been enough. Next time I'll get the stuff from the newsagents - save the oz post costs and it could be cheeper.

Thanks all for the advice.
