| Found these buds on the weekend you could say I am happy about them

I lost the tag but have been since told its s. albatus but I am not sure. So what are they now stenocactus or echinofossulocactus? _________________ Betty

| Nice one Betty, be sure to post pics when they open up. Stenocactus is the current name I kind of like the old name though, you can't beat Echinofossulocactus as a complicated genera name. Such a mouthful and confusing to laymen. Oh yeah!! _________________ コレクタ |

| Cool Betty. they do tend to flower pretty early in the season.

| Nice, can't wait to see the actual flowers. I also like Echinofossulocactus for the name, what a gorgeous mouthful, lol. Stenocactus sounds like an old wino, sorry  |

| Got to agree with you all Echinofossulocacatus is heaps better. Luckily had the day off today and this is what opened for me

| Nice one Betty trust you to get a neat macro shot of the bloom. yep Echninfossulolocactus is way better. gotta love the way it's so prone to typos. its definitely E. albatus, most Echinofossulos have white and purple striped flowers. does it have a scent? |

Oops forgot about smelling it and thanks its nice to know I have it tagged right. I have another that has a white and purple striped flowers but no buds on this one yet. _________________ Betty

| well hopefully that one buds for you as well. so far i have budding: Echinocereus knippelianus and viridiflorus, Gymno bruchii, Mammillaria mystax, Toumeya and Turbinicarpus polaskii. and a Mamm carmenae x lauii has been flowering for quite some time. Spring is here!  |

| Nice.........for some reason I dont count the mamms I have had a few of them flower and hahaniana has been going for a couple of months. Bombycina started week ago and a couple of little un-named ones have buds too. Its the big ones I want to see flower  _________________ Betty

| haha maybe because the flowers aren't as spectacular unless you are close up to them, or becuase some flower for such a long period of time that you become accustomed to them and notice when they stop flowering.  |

| Isn't it great that spring is finally here........I am soo looking forward to everyone getting flowers on their cacti and showing them off
Lewis it does have a scent but could not get the nose close enough (ouch) to work it out Plus the flower was closing when I got home tonight.....so hope it still around on the weekend other wise will have to wait for the others to open. _________________ Betty
