how many mm of prop sand would use?

| Depending on how many seeds you sow. I use 2" square pots and these will take 10 to 15 astro seeds. I sprinkle a little sand over the seeds so they are just covered and when they have germinated I sprinkle a little more so the roots have a chance to anchor in. I have used a tooth pick and tweezers to place some that just don't get into the soil. |

| | I use the square or rectangular takeaway containers depending on the seeds - i've got about 100 LW Mex 54 in one of the square ones at the moment, with a coarse sifted river sand (2cm deep)... germ at the moment is looking around 60%, and this is only 3 weeks into the germ... |
