How do I upload an image???

How do I upload an image. I can choose my pic from my computer but get to a point where I can only go around in a circle. Where's the 'OK UPLOAD IT NOW' button???

It seems I have to register for some other site before I can upload . Is this right?

You just go into the gallery, In the 'cacti' album at the top left hand side of the screen there is an 'upload pic' button. Hit that button and you will go to a page like this:

Image:

Pic Description:
Plain text only

Upload a pic from your machine:

Upload to Category:

|--Cacti|--Personal album of trigonus|--Personal album of calycium

Maximum file and image size:

4.00 Mo / 1280 x 1024 px

Then click browse and find the pic on your machine, name it etc. The hit save and it will upload to the gallery. You can also ahve a personal gallery, which a couple of us already do.

If you want to post an image in a post that is a whole other story, it's actually quite complicated. Pretty annoying Rolling Eyes

Don't bother registering with that other site, just host your images in our gallery.

Ok so my pic is in the gallery now. How do I get it in my post?

Ok I worked it out finally. Once you are viewing your image in the Gallery (in the size you want), you must then click on the image again and it comes up with a different url... That's the url you have to insert as your image. And don't use the 'Host an image' button, use the 'Image' button beside it instead. Well that only took me 6 hours, you better like my pic now...

OK ignore those directions they only work if your pic is a very large one and has been resized. A better explaination is once you have a pic in the gallery, click on the button below it that says 'copy' then paste this url into your actual post and you'll get something like this:

Now just copy the bottom address without the [/img][url] part at the end.

ie
http://forum.auscactiforum.net/users/a1/52/08/03/album/p4080210.jpg

so once you copy that part, (using Edit, Copy) you have to paste it into the button with the little green square (says 'Image' when you place your mouse on it), which is 7th from the end.

It definitely does suck eggs but it's easy once you know how.
