Hi everyone i am a new member my friend told of this site and i was blown away to see that there are people like myself who are addicted to cacti. I have been collecting cacti and succulents for several years now at first i started with one small hothouse now i have five. So i know that what started out as a few plants turned into an obsession and i have now found a forum where you can share information. I live in Adelaide love to grow cacti from seed and graft to then degraft and put on on roots. I have alot of Astrophytum asterias seed and many other cacti seeds if anyone is interested pm me its free also anyone after certain plants i might be able to help. I have to learn how to put photos up to show. Look forward to sharing many ideas with everone

Which amazes me... the last time I drove through SA, I kept thinking "man, what a great place to grow cacti this is". I reckon the climate would be spot on for a lot of species.

http://photobucket.com/ photobucket makes it easy , just upload and then cut and paste the code into your reply and they should transfer... my main problem is I dont yet have a decent camera , and my fuzzy phone pics are depressing ...good excuse for me to go overseas to buy one at duty free shopping hehe

Hang in there CC you'll get the pictures worked out. It took me ages to understand it and required a fair bit of patience. Some of the moderators were very helpful. I am looking forward to seeing some of your collection!

This is how I use the board to upload and display images...

1. Have the image stored on your computer, then click the little icon above the message compose window that looks like a floppy disk in front of a polaroid. Make sure "file" is selected and click on "browse".

2. Select the image then click "open". Then click "host it".

3. Copy the image URL, then click on the icon that looks like a polaroid. Paste the url, then click Ok.

I followed those steps, and uploaded this...
