Wow that is the nicest speciman of ritteri ive ever seen approx how old would this plant be. Was wondering if ritteri is self pollinating i have but a small one that i think might flower next season. And do you have aztekium hintonii and do you know if that is self pollinating. What great plants they must all be of great age.

Hey lachy have you ever grafted aztekiums or grown from seed. I think its is one of the real challenges i would love to try as im still young and by the time im 70 they might look really nice like the ones in the photo. Have to graft them i reakon but so slow and by the time they would get to a size you can graft the plant is hard so if i get seed i cant wait to try this one aztekium ritteri. Also love that pelecyphoria asseliformis love to get my hands on that.

I do have a grafted hintonii that has pupped quite nicely, and I may even give it a go of grafting a few onto perry... but as to growing them from seed - never tried it.

As I said id show ya mine if ya show me yours. =P

I own the one on the right, I've been informed these are possibly 2 of australia's older seed grown Plecy's I really wish I owned both of em. I'll take some better photo's tommorow when im free around the house. (1st day off in 2 weeks) and no they aren't 3inch pots there 10cm square pots. Tag in background give you a good idea of how big they really are. I must say im rather envious of your outstanding collection Echinopsis. They are awesome and rather old specimens. You guys have such great cacti over there, thanks for sharing.

Thought you might like this close up of the spines of Pelecyphora. I noticed when I degrafted these that some waxy layer rubbed off the sines and they were succulent underneath.
