Nice result CC. I agree pereskiopsis is a bit of a pain, I usually only use it for very young seedlings less than a month old. After that Hylocereus works just fine. With the exception of Lophophora SP I find these two are a match made in heaven and growth rate is unbelievable on Pereskiopsis.

Another this is from the same seed pod funny how some seem to get such different characteristics i guess thats what i like so much about the different forms of asterias and there are so many. That is a good reason for grafting then you can speed up the process and create your own forms in a short time.

Thanks Bloss for the vids on grafting makes me motivated again to do some more i need to get my hands on some good seed of the different froms of astrophytums i have heaps of seeds but it is of plants i already have.
It is very hot at the moment here so i am getting seeds organised to sow ready for grafting in march. Ill show some pics of some seedlings i grafted last march. Under my grafted seedlings.

This is a recently grafted Astrophytum myriostigma kikko koyo seedling have done some others will show pics of them soon as well.

One thing i have learnt about periskiopsis is that it loves water and should be kept growing for maximum growth i have had some that have lost there leaves and i notice they still grow but much slower. So in the past i may have let them dry out too much that they lose there leaves if you can avoid this the growth of scion is much faster.
