This melocactus was dehydrated when i got it i repotted it without disturbing the roots and put it on my heat mat with the next one in late nov kept water up when weather was warm it responded by taking up water and expanding like the next one.

Melocactus Peruvianus this one is my fav had it a long time so sentimental have grown many seedlings of this one. I have lots of types of melo's these are the only ones with cephaliums.

I have stopped collecting this seed to be honest all three are covered with seed im slack and need to collect it.

I'm in the same boat with my Melo Peru it produces way too many seeds Nice plants btw.

I was looking at my Melo the other day and found a heap of seedling growing of their own accord near the base I never planted them they just fell there.

And i love sulcorebutia's just thought i would add that now the rauschii is rotted and two others have met the same fate fortunately i have back ups still not happy though never like losing a plant they all have a story behind them

there are a couple of sulco's there that you are going to have to share with me and i may have 1 or 2 that you dont have... i love them and rebutia too.

Are there any tricks to raising Copiapoa seed? I've never tried them before but have just received 'Copiapos cinerea 'Brown Spines' and C. malletiana seeds to try... never tried even growing Copiapoa before.

A friend raised these from seed he collected from habitat he his in sth america at the moment on cactus expedition. I will try to find a pic with names if not ill take one in the next couple days. Extra drainage less than normal water for copiapoa. And tasv ill get back to you later tonight about mamm seeds have a few you will like.
