All I can say is WOW!!!. I do have a question though. With his collection so big, how does he manage to water everything???? Does he have drip systems in place or something?

So so jealous Smile I don't know what I like more the huge Astrophytum or the old perfect form Ariocarpus.

Ruthie im sure he waters all by hose and not very often another question to ask him whether he waters certain plants more than others. I also noticed that he grows in nearly all sand.

That has got to be the finest cactus collection I have ever seen. (I think that I'll have to go on some sort of a pilgrimage to see it in person.) Thanks for putting up those amazing photos!

Obviously Lester knows a thing or two about growing cacti. It was interesting to learn that he uses so much sand in the potting mix.

I was wondering what kind of shelter he provides for his plants. From the photos it looks like a large 'alsynite" clad shed or greenhouse. I'm curious because I was thinking of giving my cacti some kind of cover - they're just out in the elements at the moment.
