I should get a carnegia sometime myself! how old is it? did you sow it yourself? |

Thanks mutant no i bought it from lester myers as a seedling last year , hasn't moved much since then ,,, hopefully i have time to see it get a foot or two ... Here is a cactus i found in Sumbawa ,Indonesia ...Opuntia sure gets around ...it was everywhere there on the coast .

| i have read that opuntia was carried in the hull of many explorers ships as it lasted many months and could be planted in very arad areas as a safe guard to come back to if they had trouble finding something to eat and drink and also as cattle fodder. This is aparently one of the reasons it is so wide spread. |
