I have a couple of plants from the same seed batch, one is completely normal (yellow) and the others show this nice colour.

Do you have any flower cultivars Crypto ? besides the red flower.

You are lucky to get more than one that colour in my experience. I have grown many Red Flowers and only one is that nice deep red. Unfortunately it appears to be in fertile too...oh well. Infertility seems to be fairly common with the c.v astros.
I don't have any other flower cultivars though I have just germinated some shinshowa out of curiosity. That cultivar is a bit extreme even for my liking but I am sure with time I will learn to love it!

I had no luck with pollination of the plant above, I will try it again soon but it could also be infertile.

Shinshowa certainly is a strange one, I don't have any, would love to see yours when they mature.
