| I have never seen this before on a lopho, happens occasionally on Astrophytum Caput-medusae, this or a crested flower. Anyone else had this ? What could be the cause do you think? I guess it could be genetic or as a result of pest damage.I believe mites have been known to interfere with flowers. or is it simply two flowers ?   _________________ My Cacti Blog, please come visit me.

| It certainly looks to have the beginnings of a crest. Does the rest of this plant exhibit any cristate tendancies? |
