Thanks Ali,
I spotted some on ebay too. Thought I would ask on the forum first though.
They are a really cool looking plant, there is a lady in america who has a greenhouse full of them seems to be all she grows.
There is a video of her collection on youtube which is where I first came across these groovy little freaks.

No probs Smile
Yeah they do look freaky lol , one of my favourite Euphorbia's is platyclada, found it at bunnings and at first thought it was dead, and then realised it was very much alive .....so it came home with me lol

That is a really awesome looking plant! Reminds me of coral for some reason.
Definitely a good find there.

And it's really easy to germinate. Especially in other plants' pots!

walker dont know if you know the guy but cactusland at vic market is worth a look.
not saying he will have the fred plant for sale? he may do. he has many nice plants and some of your more collectable species also if you have a chat with him.
all his cacti are good quality. looked after and fairly priced.

if he dont have fred... he will know someone who does.

get down there if you havnt already.

cactusland.com.au

big ups.

Thanks Wert,
Haven't actually had a chance to see them or their stock.
I've just ordered 40 cacti from Lester Myers so that will be keeping me busy for a while I dare say. Next on the list is Fred though.
I've seen some amazing varieties of Fred and can't wait to get my hands on one. Have heard they have a self destruct disposition but that it can be averted by taking cuttings once they start to melt down.
I have a big soft spot for mammillaria so will be nice to add a mutant variety to my collection.

The cactus army marches forward!
