I am proposing a competition where members take a picture or pictures of their prized cacti specimens and post them in the gallery. Please create a personal album in the gallery and upload your pics to that. The entries should read "Comp entry #1" etc. Also the photo description should display the category the pic is entering into. Max 3 photos entries per member.

I haven't decided the prizes yet, but they will be decent. If anyone would like to donate any plants or seeds to the comp please PM me or email me trigonus@auscactiforum.net with donations.

The comp will run for (6) months from today, so get those cameras cracking.

I will create a poll thread near the end of the comp period and we will have the winners decided by public choice.

Categories are...

FLOWERS: Best flowering cactus (most attractive flower display on a single cactus)

FORM: Best looking cactus (body form, spination, un blemished etc.)

FREAK: Most bizarre cactus (freaks, monstrosities, chimerae & crests etc. the freakiest cactus around)

can we use freaks for the form entry? a crest for the form tpye for example? a lot of freaks have good form, or should form be left to "normal" types?

i can give some prizes for none AUS members, if there are non Aus winners...i just cant ship anythign into AUS cause customs are so harsh

Ok lets see some entries !! Comp ends 6 October still a while yet. Any limit to number of entries for each catagory trig ?

3 entries per person, in whatever ever category you desire, though obviously it's better if you can have one for each category, just to mix things up a bit.
