| My lights come on at 4.30 to help with a bit of warmth before colder morning temps kick in . Had 0C with a frost already and that was last week |

| good idea that Betty, but i seem fine (for now, until eminent expansion lol), covering the small prop with towels and having the heat mat on all night, gets down to like 17C in there which is fine, warmer where the seedlings are.
Got a 0C or 1C last week as well, shallow water in dogs bowl and gutters was frozen when i woke up. frost everywhere as well. very unsual, especially this early. |

| I leave my heat bed set at 21c just to take the edge off any early morning low temps. I dont use any artificial lighting. I think its better that the seed gets natural diffused light. that way they know spring is on its way. besides my boss would kill me if our power bill was any bigger, its bad enough with the heat bed pulling 40w 24/7 for 4 months. |

| Thanks Betty Yeah it has been great weather, we've ony had 3 days of real winter weather so far. Just wish the easterly winds would stop, the cacti dont like the salty winds. |

| Hi all, first post here. I have my heat mats running constantly at about 30°C and the lighting is on a timer on an 18/6 schedule. I have noticed my seedling growth rate has over doubled since leaving the bottom heat on constantly |
