LOTS of nice lil front gardens full of cacti in the area, found 2 MASSIVE Trichocereus bridgesii last time i visited and got an excellent photo of our oldest daughter in the middle of Johns cacti in the old Dawsons cacti farm, what a town Very Happy

maybe we could get together in Bendigo , seeing I'm from Bendigo also.
have found a few good collection as I move about the residential area here. a couple of easily visible Trichocereus have had large cuttings come in to our collection after chatting with the owner. Michael send me a private message if you are interested in seeing our collection.

What Id liketo do is visit Robert Fields cactus garden at Lockington. perhaps we could organise to go in a group. I know the cactus groups from Melb include it on thir trips and my dad has been there and tells me its awesome.

Cacti are going.. ok.. i guess Betty, could be better and more looked after Razz

Yeh there are alot of good looking gardens in Bendigo, in Long Gully/Cal Gully theres a house with a great garden out the front, awsome cacti, very old aswell:) How did you get into Dawsons??? Last time i checked it wasnt open for looking, but in a couple of years or something the new owner plans on opening it up.

Ahh cool Gracie! Where abouts are you from in Bendigo? Im from Ehawk.
Yes, Roberts garden is awsome! Ive been there twice and most my cacti came from there. His garden is fantastic, i could have lived there if we didnt have to go home Sad

hehe, ill have to agree with you there Michael, if i could, id stay at Roberts Razz. Man that place is heaven, lol, i made the family follow Robert and myself around for near on four hours :S

How did we get into Dawsons?? Exactly the same way i get into alot of front yards full of cacti, with a friendly chat Smile

Gracie, maybe start a new thread and throw some ideas around in regards to a trip/meet down your way. We have family there so you could count me and mine in Very Happy
