ID me please

Hi Folks,
I picked up some cheap plants last weekend.
The first I pick as some kind of Gymnocalycium??

the second one I can't even guess at. all I can note is.. the spines are flat (paper spines? ) and they terminate at a red ish aeroles -

ok - not red aeroles but, red spines at the base.

Im pretty sure the 1st one is some sort of Echinopsis sp.

I was sure it was just like those grafted variegated

I was going to say Oxygona, but it looked alot different. Ive seen it named as Semi-Nudum before.

'Semi-nudum' is a made-up name for Echinopsis subdenudata (a different nearly spineless plant) distributed by Paradisia nursery. You can find any number of different Echinopsis species and hybrids masquerading under this nametag though.

On second glace WT's plant could be a hybrid with E.eyresii.. or just about any other Echinopsis for that matter. 'Echinopsis hybrid' will do Wink
