I tried to show a clear Onzuka pattern on the hybrid plant and used ornatum v nudum as the mother plant. I have made several asterias with the same way, asterias v nudum (ruri-kabuto) x super kabuto. They are growing by own-root.

For those of you into these 'mutants' There's a nice photo feature and an "Astro Glossary" of the Japanese terminology in the latest Cactus & Co journal....
