 Strange looking Lophophora Pup.

Saw this today and is it just me or does this look a little strange ? Probly grafted this one in January pup emerged just over a week ago. It will most likely sort its self out but it looks a tad strange right now.

Doesn't look that strange to me? Some good growth though if it was grafted in January.

Just for comparison here is a pic of "normal", if you can call it that, pups emerging. I have no secret...Just graft and watch them grow. Oh and water too Very Happy

I can see what you mean now. that first pup definitely looks different to the second ones. I'd keep an eye on that, it might just revert to normal growth, or you might get something a whole lot more interesting.

It's like watching someone give birth - scarey yet exciting. Suprised by the way the pups just seem to burst out from the side of the plant - great photos HM.

The top plant in the one that has developed orange rot on the skin. Check out the pest/disease forum. I will post a pic in there soon. A word of warning not for the faint hearted Smile
