| Or Tacitus bellus... whichever you prefer I actuallly prefer the latter name.anyway this little thing flooded the market here backtwenty something years ago... everybody bought the little "Chihuahua Flower" as it was dubbed... and lots of people (including me), killed their little Chihuahua flower! then it disappeared from the market, never to be seen again, ...it still has not found it's way back. One of the residents at the home where I work has the parent plant to this one, ...cannot remember where she got it from, and was so delighted that I could give it a name for her that she insisted I take several pieces to see if I could grow them, ...I could scarcely contain myself. Enjoy, CP. |

| That is a nice story, and you must be please to have got a piece back after all those years. Do you know if they sell it on the mainland?
Just paused and did a search - an old time nursery about 40 minutes away sells them - might have to go and visit it. Cool find! |

| Tacitus bellus Succulent syn.: Graptopetalum bellum Origin: Mexico Dull grey, triangular leaves form a tiny, ground hugging rosette. Each leaf is little more than 25mm long, and the star shaped bright pink flowers are about the same size. Flowering is from spring to summer. Frost tender. Good houseplant. |

Yeah, I'm over the moon to get one after such a long time. What a pity I can't import plants across Bass Strait I'd have probably had one long before this.
