Has anyone tried this, and does it work? Am i right in assuming that it is something along the lines of cutting off a tubercle on an ario, and grafting this to a stock? Would it then somehow pup from somewhere along the base, or am i barking up the wrong tree,...

| I did try this once, it seemed to take, but just sat there for several months not doing anything at all. Then I knocked it off with my hand by accident which seems to be a habit with me. I think some people have a bit of success with this method, but it's not the best method by far. _________________ コレクタ

Any other methods that you know of? I have a 9yo retusus that i am willing to sacrifice a tubercle off, and just want to read up on the process(es) before i go ahead with it...

Not really, but am sure there will be a few others with opinions/experience here with this method.
If you do try it please let us know how it goes. _________________ コレクタ

I sure will So far my grafting has been ok, i would love to go to that next level... I just dont have too many cacti to spare for my experiments as yet... Hopefully once my pere grafts take and grow, i'll have a more abundant supply of material... Unless of course someone wants to donate to the cause..

I have tried more than 10 times in various ways but there have been no successfull result yet. I have tried things which people believe" can not to do". I think the tubercle grafting of Ariocarpus is one of good challenges. Hanazono
