I thought I would share a few grafts I have done recently. I have been slack and not kept great records of when they were grafted but I will put an estimate next to each one for comparision.

All shots taken 10/2/09:

Ariocarpus Trigonus - Grafted 3rd week December.

Blosfeldia Liliputiana - Grafted 4th week December, was a single tiny button from the mother.

Astrophytum Myriostigma CV Onzuka (variant) - Grafted January 09

Very proud of this one. My first selenicereus graft and quite a hybrid - Grafted 3rd week January 09.
Astrophytum Myriostigma CV Onzuka Kikko Ball x (Onzuka x Caput medusae)

Astrophytum Myriostigma CV Kohyo "Orange" - Grafted 3rd week January 09

Astrophytum Caput Medusae - Grafted 4th week January 09.

Thanks for the kind words everyone. I'm pretty happy thus far. I will post some updates. That blosfeldia is growing like a weed !! They go nuts when you graft them.

I wouldn't mind grafting one Wink i can't help but notice there are actually quite a few offsets there. (end shameless plug)

I tried growing Blossfeldias from seed, twice. i read up and used very fine mix, sowed them on the surface and placed pot in zip lock bag. First time i got dud seed and very low germination and sickly seedlings which soon died. second time i got better germination and they looked alright for a while but they are soo small and grow soo slow and eventually died for some reason, i think they got smothered by algae or something.

Same thing happened to me the last time I tried to propagate Strombocactus disciformis seeds. Rolling Eyes Damn dust fine seeds.
