This is one of the most beautifil Gymno flowers (IMO) when it first opened it had a very 'salmon' coloured flower which took on a much pinker hue as time went on... I'd never really noticed that before.
The first pic was taken when the bud first opened, the rest were taken a day or so later after leaving it in the full sun for an hour or two to encourage it to open a bit further... What a beauty!

What do you reckon?

That's a lovely plant. Probably my fave gymno of all.

My gymnos have been flowering this season too... well, all of them *except* for my horstii. Not so much as a bud from it.

Nice plant and pics CP. I like how the buds look when forming on gymnos.

Thanks Guys, this species proves to be a favourite among many folks... well Lachy, you'll be hangin' out for next season... alternatively you could show you plant these pics and then a container of roundup... that might work Laughing

That's so weird to have such a colour variation in one day.

I have to agree with HN though. My favourite thing about Gymno flowers is the shading of the bud petals.
