Hi everyone

Bit of a general thread here. Im about to put in an order for some seed am wondering if anyone has recommendations for purchases. im thinking astrophytums and aztekiums are in.

tried super kabutos a while ago but all my grafts failed. will have success this time im certain.

some mammillarias look cool as does Pelecyphora asseliformis.

but yeah, there are just sooooo many to choose from some advice would be greatly appreciated.

cheers.

Hey Haga and welcome Smile

Astros, Ariocapus and Lophophora are my favourites. What stock were you trying to graft the SK to ? I found Pereskiopsis to be extremely difficult. Over a period of 4 months I grafted about 20 SK's to Pereskiopsis and only 2 of them survived. I tried all different methods of grafting and humidity and found the only way to really achive it was to graft extremely yound seedlings no more than 14days from germination.

I was put on to Myrtillocactus Geometrizans and have since grafted a few Astrophytum including SK to the stock with a very good sucess rate. I would not attempt to graft any Astrophytum to Pereskiopsis again. The growth is slower on pereskiopsis and they are not as compatible.
