1st one is fissuratus, opening 7 flowers together.
Collected seeds from my plant and sowed on 30/09/06. Several young seedlings were grafted.
This plant is one of them.

Wow that's an awesome bloom to get 7 and they're stunning too.

Wow... grown from seed started in 9/07 and you've got 7 (!) flowers. Your skill is amazing.

PostSubject: retusus   Thu Mar 19, 2009 4:21 pm

I keep Ariocarpus under soft sunlight. Since tubercles of 2 retusus turned color, I covered further by a small piece of shade-cloth.
I removed the shade-cloth this morning and found that one of plants had a flower. The flower is smaller than normal one.
I sowed purchaced seeds on 30/08/03 and grafted seedlings on hylocereus.
I degrafted plants and rooted in 2006. This is one of rooted, own root plants. The diameter of the plant is around 15 cm.
Becuse the plant was grafted once, taller than normal one.

PostSubject: Another retusus   Sat Mar 21, 2009 1:36 pm

Another retusus grown from a seed, coming from a same seeds pack as the plant shown on 19/03/09.
Since flower color and size are different, seed come from a different plant I think.
This plant got 4 flowers together today.

PostSubject: kotschoubeyanus   Sat Mar 28, 2009 12:23 pm

A kotschoubeyanus was in flower today.
I sowed seeds collected from my plant on 30/09/06 and grafted quite many seedlings.
Flowering of kotschoubeyanus is very young if the plant was grafted. 1st flowering of this plant was April 2007.
I crossed with bravoanus v hintonii.

PostSubject: fissuratus   Sun Mar 29, 2009 1:14 pm

This fissuratus is a different sauce from top one.
I tried to degraft the main plant and failed. I cut a pup off from the main plant and grafted on an Echinopsis.
It seems the plant meets to the grafting stock very well.
I took this photo yesterday.
