I found this growing in a bookshop in the city at the weekend. The woman in the shop has no idea how old it is, there was also a rather clapped out Cleisto. strausii which was much less photogenic.
Intersting books there too!

It looks fairly old CP.
I love finding random old cacti in peoples yards too.

Where was this book shop?

Apparently it's around 50yo, has been in this bookshop in Sandy Bay/Battery Point (Hobart - Tas) for quite a number of years.

That is a real beauty CP.

Even though E. grusonii is one of the more common cacti around, seeing an old multiheaded specimen like this one is pretty cool.
