Daytime has been shorter and max. temperature has also been around lower 20s 'C in here. My Astrophytum myriostigma v nudum cv Redbean khoyo, kikkou has been turning color. This plant was very green in summer but I think plant knows autumn is in here. Sown seeds in 2006 and grafted seedlings. The current diameter is 11 cm. I think this is the last year for turning color on this plant.

That's fantastic. I love the form of this plant, and the variegation makes it just that little bit more special.

Beautiful plant - and a nice picture. I'm amazed at the standard of the photos that we see on this site. What camera are you using H?

Hellonasty I have quite many small seedlings, same cultiva as attached photo. I also have other types of kohyo, myriostigma cv kohyo and myriostigma v nudum kohyo. I have collected seeds crossed onzuka x nudum cv kikkou kohyo this year. I hope I could get similar plants shown by Carlo & Daniele. Hanazono

Hellonasty Rooting of myriostigma is very easy. I put a cactus onto an empty black pot after dried cutting face. Waiting until roots come out from cuttiong face and put it on soil after confirmed rooting. This method allows to get good rooting success ratio and the cutting face is never rotted out. The attached photo was taken when roots were coming out from cutting face of myriostigma, I put on the photo yesterday. Hanazono
