PostSubject: Artsay-fartsay macro porn   Tue Jun 09, 2009 12:57 pm

My gf recently got a digital SLR with a macro lens which I pretty quickly snatched to take some pics of my plants. As anyone would, lol Laughing . Most of the plants are mine, some of them are prier's and other's which I'm looking after at the moment.
Here are some of the pics I took, let me know if you want an ID.

Much awesomeness there. The more I see photos like this, the more I want to get a digital SLR. Of course, then I'd have to get even more cacti to photograph. And some more to keep them company, and then some more to... Laughing

I'm using an Olympus E-620 with a 35ml macro lens. A few of these images I used a +4 filter but couldn't quite get the focus right, so I went and bought the new lens. $350 wasn't a bad price. You can probably see which images were taken with either method.

Do you have a camera HN?

Yeah I've got a Sony Alpha 350. Try playing with the settings (fstop) on the camera to increase the depth of field this will keep more of your subject matter in focus Smile

This explains it:

Eriosyce sp. Can't remember the species until I get home. It was raised by crypto.

That's alright, there is no such thing as a stupid question. It's stupid not to ask.
Yeah its a Lophophora williamsii v. caespitosa. It's just the way its been grown. I like the texture of the epidermis up close.
