Okay this was a bunch of mixed lots from eBay, there was no clear photos except for the three nice pieces of lageniformis montrose so I decided to have a bid. I think there's a few echinopsis in there possibly but there's a couple I've never seen before. I don't think they were 100% healthy, they looked a bit starved but I have potted them up and given them a feed, I Tried potting ones that looked similar together

Wondering if the next three are all the same species?

This one looks a bit sick, I'm not even sure it's supposed to be red

Are these ferocactus?

This one has me baffled. It took me ages to get it sitting with the offshoots above the surface, it has a bit of a 'scabbed' area at the back so I'm not even sure which way this one grows but the root was at the end

And thanks again in advance, hopefully most of the ones I buy from now on will be marked...

Let's see...

Photos one and two look like Echinopsis pups of some sort. I reckon
photos three through five are probably Tephrocactus of some kind,
possibly T. articulatus. Six I don't think is a cactus; to my eye I'd
guess its some species of Euphorbia. Seven looks to be Mammillaria... I'll take a punt and say M. polythele. Eight is - I think - a Trich spach cutting that's got a bit etoliated from lack of light. Numbers nine and ten are Opuntiad, and I have a plant that is similar to the second, but I don't know what it's called either. Something in Cylindropuntia is a possibility. Finally, number eleven is a Mamm of some sort. Its growth is a bit wild-looking, and until you get a flower from it I reckon it might a tough one to pin a positive ID on.

Anyway, hope all this helps.

Thanks Lach, the help has been great! I am getting a vague idea of the genus of some now so I can look them up on the online key mentioned.

Darren they cost about $1.50 each all up so I was pretty pleased. I think even the unhealthy ones will pick up with some care, all of them had roots at least. There isn't often mixed lots on ebay

I'll second Lachy's id's
1-2 = Echinopsis, #1 possibly E multiplex... now known as E. oxygona.
3-5 = Tephrocactus,
6 = Euphorbia mammillaris variegata, and yes that is the correct colour for that one.
7 = Mammillaria... not easy to tell but I think M. magnimamma.
8 = not sure.
9-10 possibly Cylindropuntia of some sort
11= a Mamm but difficult to id in it's present condition.

Should turn into a nice bunch of plants.
