These might not be the rarest flowers but this was my very first cactus, given to me by my Mum over ten years ago. Amazingly he is only just starting to produce offsets, he was up the back of the garden for ages and had been dormant for a while, then he decided to give me a reward

Oh he's flowered before, just not produced any offsets. They're like specks of dust at the moment, I'm just going to leave them there

Great plant. Having a cactus for such a long time sure makes it individually special. I have in high regard the few cacti we had at home , neglected, for years and which I adopted ~ as well as my first ones, even though these first ones date back only 2 years ago...

It's funny as they get older they start to cork and get less attractive but I still love all my old plants
