| I've had poor luck with a few melos... a few have fallen to the dreaded orange rot. That said, this was some time ago so I think I will give them another go at some point. |

Yes Lachy thats the point. Someone reccomends to water a bit during winter but I keep them dry at all till April.

| My melo seeds actually germinated pretty quickly, now I just need them to get through the next stage  |

| They say Melos are less hardy when they form the cephalium, that is, immature plants are may hardier... is this true, aajooo?
I got a nonamed mature one and I decided to go the safe way and avoid anywatering during the colder weather...
Do you think you could help id? I also have a much smaller one that is strangely pupping... |

Hi Mutant, yes I agree, immature plant are hardier. I think you schould avoid watering durin winter. Please post a pic of your "strange" plant.

I think my seedlings are matanzanus too, if I remember correctly, great looking cactus |
