| I like them for grafting stocks and as plants to grow. So much variation within the genus. We are getting a bit off topic here though. Not sure if Betty would appreciate it as she just wants to sell some of these rare seeds to us ACF critters _________________ mmm spikey... |

| LOL i'd say so. discussing Trichocereus and favourite cacti in a topic about Astrophytum caputmedusae! bad lewis, must not hijack posts again. |

| Wasn't just you lewis, was me aswell and a few others, just thought I should point this thread back on track for Betty's sake. Hmm might start a Tricho appreciation thread for us Trichophiles.

| Seeds have arrived and all are spoken for and PM's sent to those who requested seeds.
Good luck with the growing of them and here's to the next population of digi's Betty _________________ Betty

| Yeah I wouldn't recommend using these as your first attempts...
although you should give grafting a go, betty.
it brings quick results to an otherwise slow hobby. a combination of the two I find works quite well.

| I have some periskiopsis (spelling) that is dormant now but plan to have a go in spring and was hoping to have some mamm seedlings to practice on but germination has not been good so will have to try on some others. Will have to get some other stock from my friends, handy to have an abundance to choose from _________________ Betty

| Betty put the Pereskiopsis on your heat mat and it will wake up. i have some in my propagator and it gorws like a weed! i started out with 2 unrooted cuttings and now i have 5 vigorously growing plants. i tired grafting seedling Gymno ragonesei and ario fissuratus on it but to no avail. lining up the vacular rings is difficult, especially in one week one ario seedlings! |

| Hmmm I don't think I have any room left I was told to graft from two/three weeks or older by a guy in USA so maybe it will be easier at that age ...............don't know Did any of your grafts take? _________________ Betty
