| | Actually all Harrisia's are noxious weeds in Qld, Thats why we dont oftem see them. H martinii; H tortuosa & H pomanensis are all class 2 declared plants & all other Harrisia spp are class 1 declared plants. |

| | hmm i wonder if the weedy ones would also make good grafting stocks? if they have managed to become weeds then they are probably very hardy and fast growing and if well grown in cultivation probably even more so. |

| They probably would Lewis, at least in Vic you shouldnt have to spray them all the time like we do up here. Allways gettin cactus mealys (Hypogeococcus pungens) & cactus stem borer (Alcidion cereicola) not common but ugly when it does hit. The down side of being only a few K's from a favorite biocontrol release site For my money Trich's are better since bugger all seems to touch them. |
